Our client based in the Cato-Ridge area is seeking an Operations Manager (with the intention to elevate to a directorship at a later stage). Substantial experience in a similar role is required and duties are as follows:All aspects of procurement from mines and transporters including regular visits and relationship managementNegotiations of contracts from service providers including payment terms and pricingManagement of the depot function incl outbound logistics improvements, quality managementManagement of the logistics function eg PO raised timeously and correctly , risk management, knowledge of import and export,HR as related to aboveCredits and claims negotiationsInnovation within the roleInnovation through the use of IT eg CRMReporting to the BoardReporting to the MDMaximisation of BEE service providers incl knowledge of scorecardStock purchases in line with cashflow requirements incl different stock replenishment modelsDefining strategy for procurement such as cost saving, development of staff and new opportunities on the marketVendor performance assessment Please apply directly online if you meet the requirements.
